Day Services
We have Day Services where children and young adults can come in just for the day to spend time in a safe, supportive environment, where they can meet others in similar situations, socialise and engage in a range enjoyable activities.
We have Day Services for children and their carer or family member at Naomi House, and separate Day Services for young adults and their carer or family member at Jack's Place.
At Day Service, our Play and Activities Team offers a variety of themed sessions designed to support both developmental and social needs. Activities include cooking, arts and crafts, sensory play, games and technology-based activities. Children and young adults can also enjoy a session in our hydrotherapy pool.
Day Services also create opportunities for children, young adults and families to experience unique and engaging visits from external providers, such as mobile farms, performance artists, reptile encounters and other interactive experiences.
In addition to the activities provided, Day Services offer valuable opportunities for social interaction. Young adults and families can connect with others who share similar experiences, while also engaging with members of the wider multidisciplinary team to access guidance and support where needed.
Our Family Support Team can offer advice and support, including counselling and therapy, advocacy, advice and guidance around tickets and offers, and access to support groups.
Our Physiotherapy Team are there to offer advice and support for anything needed, for example, new issues with pain or positioning or liaising with community services etc.
At Jack’s Place, we like to have fun. We meet up with friends and enjoy different activities and experiences. The Play and Activities Team host a variety of activities to suit our interests, from cooking, baking and arts and crafts, to games, music and themed days. We go on trips out to places like the pub or the theatre. We have visitors come to the hospice too, including live musicians, football clubs, reptiles, and we’ve even had an Escape Room!
