Bereavement support groups

We run regular support groups for different members of the family.

Ripple Parents' Group

We run a regular monthly parents’ group where parents who have been bereaved in the last three years can come on their own or as a couple to share experiences and gain support. The group takes place at Naomi & Jack's and is facilitated by members of our counselling team.

Dads' United Group

A dads’ activity group takes place every two months, where dads can meet, take part in various activities away from Naomi & Jack's, forge connections with other dads and talk, if they wish. This group is supported by volunteers and a member of our counselling team.

Bereaved Children's Group

Our bereaved children’s group takes place in each school holiday for children aged five years and onwards. The group is designed to support them to make friends, develop coping mechanisms and relieve any isolation that they may feel. Some groups take place at Naomi and Jack's and some at external activity venues. The groups are led by our Play and Creative Arts Therapist.

Bereaved Grandparents' Group

We run a quarterly grandparents’ group where grandparents who have been bereaved in the last three years can come to share experiences and gain support. The group takes place at Naomi and Jack's and is facilitated by members of our counselling team.

Blossom Bereavement Cafe

The Blossom Bereavement Café is a monthly drop-in group, open to any bereaved adult connected to the child or young person who was referred and accessed support at Naomi and Jacks. Family members can attend this group at any time post bereavement. The group will be run by Nicky, our Chaplain, with other members of the team and volunteers for support.
