General News

This past weekend, Naomi House hosted a fantastic fete, the first one of its kind! For all the children and families we support. The event transformed our grounds into a vibrant, sensory wonderland, bringing together families for a day of pure joy and connection.

Our special funfair theme created an atmosphere of excitement with games, laughter, and plenty of sensory activities for everyone to enjoy. The air was filled with incredible music thanks to the fantastic DJ Ella, whose music created a gentle but lively backdrop for the event. The talented musicians of Swan Samba also delivered an amazing performance that got everyone moving and dancing.

The fun continued with beautiful face painting throughout the event by Nat Splats Face Paint, who created vibrant designs that lit up the faces of children and adults alike and of course the amazing Jonquil on stilts. A special thank you also goes to Louis, who generously donated delicious ice cream to help everyone cool down and enjoy a sweet treat throughout the day.

Having worked at the charity for a number of years it was great to be asked to use my new skills as a vinyl DJ to come and help volunteer. It was wonderful to witness the children and their families and carers having fun and dancing along.

It was so lovely to see families come together and share in the fun. The support for a first-time event from our amazing community, who volunteered their time and having a donated ice cream van was an absolute treat!
